On Thursday, Nov. 5, from 3:30–5 p.m. in the Plemmons Student Union Grandfather Mountain Ballroom (137BC), join the Appalachian Energy Center and the Department of Geography and Planning for a presentation by Dr. Conor Harrison, associate professor of geography at the University of South Carolina. Harrison will discuss highlights and key arguments from his newly released book, Brokers of Power: The Financialization of the US Electricity System, exploring the changing relationship between finance and the U.S. electricity sector and its implications for energy systems and public policy.
