Marshall University Athletics reported that the Marshall Volleyball team lost to App State in four sets on Friday in Boone, with set scores of twenty-three to twenty-five, twenty-five to nineteen, twenty-five to twenty-two, and twenty-five to nineteen. The match marked the final regular season road trip of the year for the team, bringing their record to fourteen wins and eleven losses overall and seven wins and seven losses in conference play.
Carys Kerr led the team with twelve kills, while Beatrice Ciccarelli added ten kills. Kahea Carvalho contributed nineteen assists, and Emma Barnett and Addison Saunders each recorded nine digs. After taking the opening set twenty-five to twenty-three, Marshall dropped the subsequent three sets to close out the contest. The team will next face Southern Miss in a pair of home matches at the Cam Henderson Center.
