Premier Sotheby’s International Realty has expanded its footprint in the High Country with the official opening of a new downtown Boone office located at 743 West King Street, as citybiz reported. The strategic expansion marks the latest move in a series of targeted investments aimed at deepening the real estate brokerage’s presence and client support infrastructure across North Carolina.
The new King Street location joins existing Premier Sotheby’s International Realty offices in nearby Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. Together, these three locations establish a significantly stronger physical footprint for the firm across both Watauga and Avery counties. The opening in Boone directly follows the establishment of a new office in Hendersonville in June, a move that broadened the firm’s reach across Western North Carolina, alongside ongoing investments in dedicated marketing support tailored for real estate advisors operating throughout Western North Carolina and the Charlotte metropolitan area.
This broader expansion strategy coincides with the brokerage’s continued efforts to elevate its profile within high-end and luxury real estate markets across the state. The firm’s reach currently extends from the High Country and the greater Asheville region to the Charlotte area and Lake Norman. Across these regions, the brokerage has represented numerous high-profile residential properties and landmark real estate transactions. Its past activity includes record-setting sales volume in Western North Carolina as well as establishing new pricing benchmarks in the Lake Norman market.
The firm’s recent capital and organizational investments across North Carolina began with a dedicated marketing support framework introduced in 2025 specifically for advisors in Western North Carolina and Charlotte. That rollout was followed by the launch of the Hendersonville branch office earlier this year. The decision to open a dedicated office in downtown Boone extends that exact regional development strategy into another foundational mountain real estate market.
By selecting a site on historic King Street, the brokerage places its physical operations directly within one of the High Country’s busiest and most prominent commercial and cultural corridors. As the home of Appalachian State University, Boone functions as a primary hub for surrounding mountain communities. The town sustains a diverse, year-round population composed of full-time local residents, seasonal second-home owners, and regional visitors.
Under the leadership of managing broker Patti Turner, the Boone office is designed to function as a collaborative operational base for Premier Sotheby’s International Realty’s team of global real estate advisors. The local facility is intended to connect area buyers and sellers directly with local market expertise, specialized marketing capabilities, and the broader global network of Sotheby’s International Realty.
Leadership at the firm highlighted that the expansion reflects an intentional strategy to pair localized real estate knowledge with international market exposure. Jackie Thiel, president of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, told citybiz that North Carolina has served as an essential focus area where growth has been planned intentionally through investments in leadership, marketing resources, and local expertise. Thiel noted to citybiz that establishing an office in Boone strengthens the brokerage's High Country presence while offering another central platform to serve clients across the surrounding region.
Patti Turner, managing broker for the firm’s Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, and Boone offices, told citybiz that having a physical location on King Street represents a natural progression for the business due to Boone’s central role in the High Country. Turner shared with citybiz that local advisors already hold deep ties throughout the community, and the new storefront grants them higher visibility, additional operational resources, and a centralized gathering place to meet with clients.
Headquartered in Naples, Florida, Premier Sotheby’s International Realty maintains a roster of more than 1,200 real estate professionals operating out of 40 office locations across Florida and North Carolina. The brokerage benefits from its association with the historic Sotheby’s auction house, which was originally founded in 1744. The company operates as a member of the global Sotheby’s International Realty network, is associated with Peerage Realty Partners, and maintains an affiliation with Compass International Holdings.
